Wanted: Jardini Arowana Wanted?

Hey guys does anyone have a jardini for sale?

Nice to see you have joined.
What fish are you planning on keeping with the Jardini or will she be alone in the tank?

 

Want to keep it with my other 2 arowana, hopefully since it will be 3 arowana in the tank they will get along

 

I saw a nice big one at Wazeer's. Jardini's is known not to play along with other "friends". They are very agro and will kill your other aro's and maybe tank mates.

Jardini are very touch and go with tank mates. Some people keep trios together, some just solo with other fish and one lady had 9 together I think. Just depends on the individual fish.

 

@Miks786 , It will never work with a Jardini in the trio

If you read up on all the people that have managed to house 3 Aros or more together, none of them have a Jardini in the combination
It is either a comb of silvers, Asians or a mix of silvers and Asians, there is never a Jardini
At the best of times, Jardini might tolerate other fish until they are about 20cm.. if you lucky.. then its usually game over and you land up having to house her alone

Yes, Wazeers has an adult Jardini there that my heart goes out to every time I go there but, she has been alone for as long as I can remember and as far as I know, is fed feeders.. the only thing I know she tolerates with her are stingrays

At the moment, they haven't started bringing in Asians again yet but a couple weeks ago, two Albino silvers came in, one Cesar took, not sure if the other is still available.
There was also a black silver that came in, not sure if its been sold yet or not
These are better options for you to consider adding that could maybe work and give you diversity

A nice Jardini is awesome but you must be prepared to have her as the sole fish in your tank

 

I remember that, they were all small then but.... we heard all about it in the beginning.. in the last year... not a word has been said... I find it strange....

 

Maybe it failed, or OP just stopped going on the forums..

 

At least local to me at the time, never saw a success story with Jardini tankmates. Often gets brought up with other "big" fish, until a certain size. Last I checked was a fish that was returned to a shop, that only got along with common plecos, but even then occasionally had a go at them...
