ISTA 3-in1 Diffuser/Counter/Check valve

Hello

I recently took the plunge and turned my 1.5m into a planted tank (hopefully I will be posting some pics soon). I bought the Ista 3-in-1 diffuser as it seemed like the simplest option.

The biggest issue I have been having is that it keeps filling with water. I fill it to halfway and after a day of running the chamber is completely full of water. At first I thought I just hadn't tightened the lid enough so I used a wrench to tighten it after the first day to make sure it wouldn't fill with water again. It didn't seem to help because its full again today. Is this normal?

In trying to solve this problem I can across another thread saying that the check valve is of poor quality and that it will let water run into your solenoid. I'm really not keen on having to replace that.

Has anybody else had experience with this product?

What is the best option/brand in terms of running Co2 safely? I think I am going to get all three components individually, just not sure which brand to buy.

Any suggestions/comments will be appreciated.

you are supposed to fill the chamber with water.

 

I know but I was told it should only go halfway but its filling completely with water. Is that normal?

 

Does it Diffuse the bubbles? if it does, then all is OK. When the Selenoid is off, are there any water in your air pipe? If not, then there is no worry...
what BPS do you run at?

 

I turned the pressure off tonight so will check the line in the morning. It is diffusing the Co2. Running 3 BPS.

 

Mine is full of water, and it works 100%, i think when the co2 is of the water gets in thru the disk.
