After i break of all the thorns, remove the bark, soak it and boil it.Will it be save for aquarium use or will it leech something and kill all the fish?

I want to put some Christmas moss on it and use it as a center piece for when i redo my tank.

I'm still looking for a proper dead Bonsai tree but if i can't find any then i will have to look for driftwood that looks like a tree.

The problem is that once you have dried out those little trees, it will rot very quickly under water. Those are very young thorn trees and the stems are too thin and will not last under water. You need to find HARDWOOD to use in the tank that does not decompose quickly. By the time the moss has covered the wood it will start falling apart from decomposing. Rather buy something like Spiderwood and make it into a 'Bonsai tree" yourself.

also i dont know why everybody wants to boil their wood. it softens the wood and breaks down the fibre and then the wood doesnt last as long

It leeches the wood faster and kills any nasties. :p

Hopefully i don't have to boil spiderwood, last time i checked it didn't leech.

if you have a swimming pool let it soak in there. or just a bucket with water. treat with anti chlorine afterwards abd there you go. in this hobby the fast way isnt the best way. there is other way to rid nasty stuff on the wood but actually most of the time there wont be nasty things on it that wound survive in the water any way
