Is this fungus

    Hi – please confirm if the white stuff on the angle’s fins is fungus.

    we cant really see from the photos - if it looks like cottonwool fluffy type stuff then yes it is

    I know the quality of the photos are not the best. I will try and get some better ones during the weekend. Thanks for the reply Henk.

    Cotton Wool Disease:idea:
    Usually caused by low temperature, poor water quality or crowding. It can be seen as an expanding translucent layer on the skin of the fish that eats away at the skin. The edges often are bloody. The fish should be discarded if the disease is in advanced stages. If the disease is in its early stages it can be treated by using either 4 teaspoons marine salt to 4 liters of aquarium water and potassium chromate or potassium permanganate.
