What are your intentions with these beauties? Are you going to be breeding pure lines or crossing them?

well i have 3 pure black females, and 1 male, and then i have a redlace trio that i also got from Len, they look awesome, im looking to breed them for now and see what interest i get from members and then once i have a few as a backup, i will start cross breeding. they are beautiful fish, Len managed to breed them with high dorsals, males and females, i will post a pic of the red Lace soon as i get. im hoping my females are all bearing at the momment so soon i will have fry hopefully and a couple month after will look at selling some to try and cover for my daily expenses of running 8 tanks!!!! one of which is my 700L tank

Dude, these fish are definitely not going to cover your costs. Although you and I can see the beauty of these fish, I reckon the average LFS will not buy them and if they will, they won't give you very much for them. I would do your homework very carefully before going this route (breeding guppies for money).

True. I breed a lot of Angels and 6 strains of ATFG guppies for a LFS, and I have to mix them up before supplying, as they will only pay a minute price for a guppy. To them, a guppy is a guppy is a gupp...... I would love to supply them with true breeding strains, but then I would want a higher price. (Growing them on seperately takes a lot of tank space.)

I know its OT, but it seems the site is being attacked by porn spam. Move your cursor to the word "love" in my reply above to see what I mean.

LOL not looking to make a living out of it, i doubt i'll even offer them to LFS, i think i will make them available to those that really appreciate quality guppies, mostly members i would say. it is quiet a costly exercise with all the tanks that you need. i have a few tanks i'll play around with it ans see how it goes.

Use them to create colour for your 700l. I had all my males in my 300l and females in my 100l but I have seperated the blues from the reds and mixed males with females again to get the next batch of fry. So currently my blues are in the 300l and my reds in the 100l. I will do the fish juggle in the holiday to get all the males back in the 300l.

My cardinals leave my guppies alone but that may be because there are only 6 of them. Hopefully they will be ok as I intend increasing my cardinals to about 20. If not, cheers guppies...
