Info on Toothpick fish (indostomus crocodilus) ?

Saw this odd looking fish for sale on a USA web site.

Has anyone ever seen or kept them here in SA?

I've seen and read lots about this fish, but have never seen it in the flesh unfortunately. However, we do have sponsors on this forum who import from overseas suppliers who may be able to help you if you're really interested - @Altum and @Dolphin

For now they would just have to stay a facination, as i'm all out-off space... and still working on a space for my 120l - for the Pipefish :nuts:

 

Hmmm... I dunno hey, their quiet habits, love for small foods and similar water chemistries make pipefish and these guys seem like pretty good tankmates, don't you think?

Just teasing, the last thing you want is someone tempting you right?
