    Hi Everyone

Possibly not the completely right forum for this question but hope people can give their thoughts anyway.

I have been toying with the idea of starting a paludarium. The problem is that the wife is not keen on any more tanks inside the house.
We have an under-cover outside area where there is some space in the corner. The problem lies with the temperatures that could be experienced. In summer it can get pretty warm in this area - up to 35 degrees that I have seen. Then obviously the winter brings the normal highveld cold overnight.

This made me think that maybe going the indigenous route would be worth looking at. Having said that - the paludarium is traditionally a "tropical environment" which doesn't really go with highveld.

    Anybody have any ideas?
What kind of Fauna and Flora?
Are there any legalities to be worried about with indigenous plants and animals? I assume there are.

    Any other suggestions / comments?
    Input appreciated

    Regards
    Brendon
