    Hi,

Can anybody out there maybe tell me or assit me on where to find chocolate cichlids, blue acaras, keyhole cichlids or blue eyed cichlids? I've been looking literally for months now with some LPS promising me to order but unfortunatley no avail. The size of the fish must be +/- 7cm minimum and if possible male/female pairs. Your assistance will be of great help and highly appreciated.

@wsteene I feel your pain! I've also been on the lookout for chocolate cichlids and especially blue acaras, but haven't seen any, EVER. I double checked on the black list, and blue acaras definitely not on there.....

Same for african butterfly cichlids? haven't checked if they are blacklisted, but if they are not, why aren't we getting any?

good luck with your search! Let me know if you get lucky!!

@PappaBear, thanks, glad to see I'm not the only one who battles to find some fishies. I have been asking, pleading, begging and crawling on my knees to get some of these, seems if I do manage to see any EVER I will have to steal them, lol, don't take me seriously on this one please. I've ran into a supplier at a LFS and asked him about it and told me he can get blue acaras but I'm not allowed to buy them directly from him, I have to go through a LFS, I tried but still no fishies. Are there any of the sponsors that can maybe help me and @PappaBear on this virtually impossible mission?:fight:

@wsteene I asked the manager of one of the leading lfs in cape town why they never order chocolate cichlids and blue acaras. He didn't even hesitate: "They take to long to colour up. Well...... kind of sad that the guys shopping for a pretty fishy now control the options of the guys looking for a pretty fishy later.....

@Corne, thanks for the reply, I will contact them and see if they can be of assistance.
@PappaBear, that is a pity if they use that as an argument not for odering them, most juvenile cichlids only start showing their color when they reach adult stage, have a pair of red head cichlids only start showing their colors after about 5 months now. If they order the fishies, we will buy them and have patience for them revealing their colors.
