    Hey Guys!
I need some info please. I am going to visit these places in July and want to bring some fish back.

Has anyone brought fish from that side before and how do you go about doing it?

When you are in Hong Kong, go to the goldfish street or Kam yu Kai (Tung Choi Street)... Your mind will go

From my understanding, you will need a permit to bring in any live animals, and that also includes plants. Also make sure with the airline that you can actually take them on the plane. I think the chances that you will be allowed to do so is very minimal, due to the fishes will have "water" and no liquid can go on the plane. Not sure if you will be able to check these in though.

    Have fun!

It will cost you an arm and both your legs...

but first you still need a permit, and health clearance certs etc. before they even let you in the country with fishies.

Yes you also need a certificate from a vet stating that what you are bringing in is disease free and might face them being quarantined at customs, but clear on all these detail.

thought of doing the same often, problem is permits on the sa side only given once you have paid for specific fish from a specific supplier that has correct export permits and health certs
then other major problem is liquid on a plane max 100ml not box with 20ltr
then customs here will need correct paper

Such a long story and yet all the champion looking stuff is overseas. I like bettas so I want some outrageous looking ones from there. Plus when I get back I wanna start a marine or discus tank. Haven't made my mind up on those yet!
