Import of killifish eggs

Hi all

What import permits do I need to buy/import killifish eggs on aquabid??
Did it in the past as someone told me customs don't see it as live stock but was unfortunately stopped by customs.

 

I would say, you need a connected clearing agent and a bit of cash.

 

As far as i know, they are on the blacklist so i dont think you would even get a permit
Granted its eggs but eggs become fish...

Interestingly, Aplocheilichthys has been reduced to a single species, with the rest of the animals in this genus being moved into other genera. A technicality, although one I'm not sure that customs agent would care for, though. Aphanius, Cyprinodon and Fundulus are a few others I can see on the list with a quick look.

Though these only make up a small number of killifishes (just over 100 species out of over 1000), I doubt customs are trained to tell them apart, especially where eggs are concerned. You'd likely have to get whatever specimens are available already inside the border, if any.

 

That's interesting.. ok.. i did miss the Aphanius but the other two say pupfish and top minnows so i didnt think or know that the killifish would fall in there but they also blacklisted anyway
