Impeller for a Tetratec EX600 cannister filter

    Hi guys

    Im looking for an impeller for a tetratec ex600 external cannister filter. Mine has decide to break after 6 years.

    Any of the sponsors sell? Im in Cape Town.

    All advice greatly received

    I have always liked the Fluval filters.
    When I got my tank in Sept 2012 (time flies!!) I wanted the FX, but it was just a few cm too big to go in the cabinet, so I had to get the Tetratec.
    In the past 3 years it has leaked through hoses that came loose and continue to do so - luckily I am aware of this and check them periodically to re-tighten.
    It also leaks through the main seal now and then (luckily only a few drops) even though that has been replaced.

    I feel the same as Dophin - owned 3 and everyone had an issue - cracked impeller - leaking o-ring - leaking head. I had to eventually keep 2 each of all the spares for each size of canister.

    I think with these brands its a hit or miss. I know people also complain about boyu but others have great things to say.

    The main thing for me is that whatever the filter if its decent enough vs price - spares must be available and I generally purchase a set of spares when I buy the filter...
