Nice tank, some activated carbon can clear it up a bit and make it sparkle.(just remember to clean the carbon first).

Looking good Troy! This the one with the moss rock?

Like the rock in the right corner, is it a real one?

Maybe some anubias Nana to grow on some of the rocks or a piece of wood?

What fish are you going to put in?

Sounds good - if you're unsure of what kind of catfish you have, try to take a picture and post it in the ID section (or on this thread, doesn't matter :)).

TroyFish your tank looks good - don't worry about the opinions of others, at the end of the day you are the one looking at the tank and who must enjoy it and no-one else. I personally think that you have done a terrific job and I especially like the way you have incorporated the plants amongst the rocks on the left hand side. It looks really great!

    Thanks Vee.

Unfortunately the pump i bought was a bit much for the tank, think of it as a tornado under water lol. So i put together a little DIY 'sprayer'. Filters through the pipe (Easy to remove) and also circulates the water without giving it too much of a current.

Java moss won't mind the little higher temps and will grow in almost any light as long as you can stil see the moss.
Might just grow a little slower.

Give it a chance, will suddenly start growing fast. How long is this tank running? Might be that there
Is not enough nitrates in the water yet.

When i change my tank around i will drain all the water into 2 50l containers.
Once im done i put all the water back, and do a 20% water change the
following day. Maybe this is wrong. Just remember that i am still learning and
still need all the help i can get

:top: I like it. The rock on the left side reminds me of "elephant skin" rocks that I have seen at my local nursery and have been tempted to get some for my next project, looks cool. Question about the heater...isnt it better to submerge the whole unit? I have been told that the thermostat sits in the black "cap" section of the heater and submerging the unit will then give a more accurate reading.
