    Hi guys,

Sorry I've been off for a while. So, much has happened with my fish over the short period I was off. 3 of my guppies had their fry and my molly fry is growing up nicely. The endlers seem to be a bit slow. I also saved a female dwarf gourami and hopes she pulls through the trauma.

On the hand, I'm posting an livestock classified. Look out for it.

    Thank you TASA,
    SAMB

Welcome back. . maybe now you can explain that mollies are actually brackish to some of the members of this forum :) ..

Good to have you back. .I actually want to speak to you about breeding methods etc. I used to breed them but my way was very unprofitable . . I will PM you

    Wait what?

Just give them some time and you will have endlers out of your ears in no time.
There incubation(not sure of that word :) ) is 21 days and guppies I think 25 plus they do not eat the young
    as much as the guppies.

Haha, thanks for the welcome back! :) Miss C..... good one azurekoi! :p

Yes, mollies are, in fact, brackish. If you get some pure rock salt(marine salt is practically the same thing but more expensive) and sprinkle it into the tank it should be fine. The guppies don't mind and actually seem to be giving more fry!

Alright, I have a question. Can I feed my fish on live and frozen dried food alone? Is it better or should I feed flake aswell as the live and frozen dried food?

    Thanks,
    SAMB

    He,he - miss C...

Personally I would stick with feeding my fish mostly with something like TetraPro(the crisps) as a basic food with suplemental feedings of live/frozen foods...expensive,yes,but a dang fine food!

Live/frozen food is great as a protein source, but does not fullfill your livebearers, who need a large vegetable part to their diet's, needs... also chuck in a little piece of blanched baby marrow or cucumber for them every now and then...just remove the uneaten bit after a coupla hours to prevent it fouling the water...

I have a whole new bottle of TetraMin flakes. When I run out can I switch to TetraMin crisps or must it be TetraPro. What's the difference?

    Thanks,

Doesnt REALY matter...as long as you feed a GOOD quality flake and not an el'cheapo...

The crisps have a higher digestibility - less waste going into your tank(solid in the form of poo and less amonia...
+ its gotbetter vitamin and nutrient stability compared to flakes... + an "energy crisp" with Omega-3...
    Thats the TeraPro range...

In my experience . . . my mollies never ate bloodworms . live or frozen .

They where hooked on Prima though! You can buy a 3kg bucket for about R800 I think . . but otherwise R40 for 30 grams

Thanks! :) Guess I'm changing to crisps!

    Thanks azurekoi!

    ---------- Post added at 17:01 ---------- Previous post was at 17:01 ----------

My mollies, guppies and fry go mad over their daily treat of blood worms! :) I bought the blood worm for my dear Betta but the rest seemed to all join in and now they all go absolutely crazy whenever the see it! Some of the fry even jump and hang onto when I hold it just above the water. It's actually quite entertaining and the fry seem to be getting bigger and look very healthy! :)

All I can say is try it. Bloodworm or brine should work.
