Not even sure if it's aquatic...

My lfs, of course, said it is. Bearing in mind that they couldn't give me a single name of any plant they had, except Java Fern :p

    Any help would be great.

Acorus gramineus.... Yup,sorry - it is a terrestrial plant that can tollerate wet feet, but not long term submersion... Go plant it in your garden,or very shallow in a pond....

@matteffect .. Easiest is to get to know your plants... Then you cant shift the blame - Fact of the matter is that the fault lies more with the suppliers to LFS's that pass on these bog plants(As "mixed potted plants")... Sure, not many LFS owners or employee's can identify everything they get,but if you as the consumer buffs up your plant i.d skills, you'dd have no one to blame...

So what to do if you bought a plant that gets identified as a marsh plant... Dont throw it away - We all got an old/first startup tank thats no longer in use - make a bog Vivarium, try your hand at a little paludarium - build a small pond outside and plant it in there(or just a bog garden - dig a hole, line with some black plastic - poke some holes in plastic - fill with soil and plant it up)... I have made magnifecent ponds for people from bog plants that I bought at a fraction of the cost of "Real" pond plants from koi shops... One thing this hobby will do to you is make you think out of the box...

If life hands you a bog plant...make a bog garden with it.... Not always blame the LFS...

If you take a plant out of an aquarium and pot it... put it in a lunch box filled with water to soak the water up into the ground. The roots are used to water and a sudden introduction of air to the roots will make the plant wither and die. Also use fern food tablets to fertilise the plant to keep the stems and leaves healthy during the "cold turkey" period. That's my 2c worth.

Or cut the top off a 2liter Coke bottle and cover it with that - helps with humidity.... Dont worry it they wither at first - most will bounce back...
