    Good day all..

We are without power (ac) for today.
I spotted this in my one tank. And wpuld like to know what i'm dealing with.
    Tank is 3ft
    About 30rcs
    1x black apple snail
    1xgolden apple snail
1x neon tetra (came with the shrimp)
Unkown amout of very tiny pest snails (came with some live plants)
Home made lightning running of solar (about 30w led 6500k)
    1x cascade 600 pump.

Tank have been running for more than a year. Only moved the fish out when i got the shrimp.

There is a fair amount of there 5 pronged things growing all over the tank. Should i get worried?

This is the best photo i could take with my phone. 13132d73b0120183aad2a1086d06152e.jpg

That is hydra, not good for baby shrimp as they will kill new born baby shrimp.
    It is from over feeding

That's hydra, will eat baby shrimp as stated above. They can be hitchhikers from plants and can spring up from time to time. You can remove all your livestock and blast the temperature to kill it. @Ladysphinx knows the drill.

    Hydra.
Dwarf Gourami and 3-spot gourami and their derivatives eat Hydra.

As has been said above, looks like a Hydra
Nothing to be overly concerned about unless you have very small fish or shrimp.

A lot of bigger fish will probably eat them.
And cut down on feeding for a while, and see if that helps.

Hi all thanks for the replies.
There is a few baby shrimps.
Will cut back on feeding (maybe every second day) and see what it does.

    Edit:
Does anyone know the DoPin range of medicin. I have a Nr 4 gill, fungus and parasite treatment will that help with the killing of hydras?

Not sure about using medication to treat the hydras. Use with care.
The shrimps could also be affected by these products.

    I agree with @Reedfish
I did try and establish the composition of the medicine in question but no where could i find a breakdown so i would stay away from it

Shrimp and scaleless fish can not handle certain medicines
