    Hi all.

There are white spots on my fish.

I assume it is ich/ick. They are not acting strange, no rubbing, eating as normal.

I have tried aquarium salt (1 tblsp per 2 gallons). I lost one pygmy cory. It could be the cory's death was unrelated.

    I did a 30% water change.

    What meds do you suggest?

I've a 250L planted tank. Livebearers (guppies, platties, rasboras, neon tetras) and 2 shrimp.

All water parameters are fine, I test daily.

Garlic, any other medications might kill your shrimp.

Sorry to hear... lots of people helped when I had the plague in the 180L, might be worth a read.

Paraguard didn’t kill my shrimp but it killed snails. I had a lot of fish losses but as it turns out it wasn’t only ich. The whole ordeal made me get a quarantine tank the next week...

as "A new day" said Seachem Paraguard, doesnt hurt loaches, shimps and plants. just takes a bit longer 7 days minimum as those little Ich buggers cycle is
    that long.
6 caps daily for 250 liters of water (subtract substrate and decor)

    Thanks all.

I did a 50% water change 2 days ago. Raised temp slowly to 26, but it is so hot today I see the tank is on 28.
I have been dosing 4 caps ParaGuard daily. I worked out it's about 200 L water after subtracting sustrate.

I bought a 100ml bottle paraguard so I only have enough for 5 days treatment.

I have been losing fish. One or two Guppies and tetras dying every day.

I am posting images of what is growing on some of the tetras' heads.

Most of the fish have white grains on bodies and fins.

Nobody is rubbing as if itchy.
    All eating

    But then they die...

I am planning on making yhe garlic meds CharlZA suggested tomorrow.
I would be very thankful of any other suggestions or feedback.

It sucks not having quarantined fish

Look into the possibility of columnaris. Nasty bug that, and a quick killer. If so, dose Kanaplex asap. Empathies...

That is why I suggest using Garlic. You don't need to raise the temperature just add it every day to the water and it won't stress the fish at all.
