    Hi,

I have some guppy's that were showing signs of Ich last night, one or two quite bad, so i have moved all the ones(1large-F,1medium-M,3fry-unknown) with visible signs into a separate tank and started to treat them with salt.

Now i understand that salt does not kill the actually organism on the fish but the egg/babies(what ever you call them), so the tank they were originally in is STILL infected.. The whole reason ive taken out the one visibley infect is so i can treat them with a stronger dosage.

    SO HERE'S THE QUESTION:

My original tank has plants(not sure of exact types, ones planted, other is a flaoter) and apple snails, so i do not want to kill them but would like to still treat that tank.. What dosage of salt would you recommend? The fish in there dont have visiable signs of ich, but it is the infected tank.

    AND

Would this be okay treatment for the tank with visible infection:

Any input would be appreciated :)

    Thanks

Regimen seems Ok just halve the salt -Raise the water temp and increase bubbles from airstone

1 teaspoon per 20 litres - I am assuming you are using aquarium or non-iodated salt
