    Dirk's metronidazole treatment works.

7mg/litre of metronidazole on first day (grind tabs and dissolve in some tank water, then add)
on 3rd day do a 50% water change and redose at same rate.

Repeat twice, do a third time if necessary

Also raising the water temperature helps.

As said by @Pauline, by raising the water temperature helps.
Firstly, how does it start - sudden changes in water temperature - from high to low and back to high again. Laoches are prone to ich of you do keep them and discus are very fragile fish if it comes to water parameters.
Treatment - there are various medicines on the market available and can make use of coarse salt as well - just be careful as some fish can't tolerate salt, usually your scaleless fish e.g. loaches - they will die.
By raising the water temperature above 29 deg C stops the ich from multiplying as it can't reproduce at 29 deg C, it dies off at 32 deg C, just need to keep in mind you can't just raise the temperature suddenly, need to do it gradually. Just read on whether your fish will be able to tolerate a temperature of 32 deg C. Keep the temperature at 32 deg C for 10 days and do a daily 10% water change and vacuum your gravel with each water change as the died ich "bugs" will settel on the substrate at the bottom. After 10 days you can gradually drop the temperature back to +/- 26 deg C. I've used this method and it worked for me. The other option is to make use of meds, but take care not to overdose and if your fish will be able to withstand the meds you are using. HTH
