    Hello,

This morning I noticed all these clusters of eggs all around the tank, and it was clear it wasn't the Discus for 2 reasons: these clusters of eggs were between the spray bar and the glass and Discus cannot fit in that space and then also the colour of the eggs, which is white.. it can only be the sterbai cory's... I have watched some video's on youtube which I think confirm my thoughts...

Since this was not planned and I have never researched them breeding, I have a few questions for interest sake:

    1. Does the fact that eggs have been laid mean I have a male and a female, or is it the same as with Discus that you can have 2 females and they will still lay eggs?
    2. How does one know if the eggs are fertile?
    3. Is there anything special one must do if one wants the fry to hatch and survive?

It was not my intention to breed with them, but thought it would be nice to know, since this has happened.. I am also not sure if I should do my small water change, and disturb them, as I have no idea about the possibility of the eggs even being fertile and being able to hatch in my Discus tank and its quite interesting to see what will happen in any case.

If anyone has some info, I would appreciate it, I have not had a chance to even search the threads on TASA as yet, but will do so tomorrow. There are about 11 of these clusters of eggs.

    Yup, looks like it.

Mine spawn regularly, but the eggs gets eaten quite quickly in my comunity tank.
