I am a father

Morning Guys I have a 10 month old son at home so this is not a new feeling, rather than a supprize...

I setup up my Apistogramma cacatuoides - Double Red tank to breed. I was expecting this to happen but exactly 1 month to the day of transfering the little guys (3months old) to thier new home, they have spawned... YAY!!!

I have been looking for the eggs for the last month as I have heard they breed easily... but having not seen anything on the rocks or plants as we have seen recently in other forums, I assumed they might be too young...BLAH little did I know

Last night having a look at my tank, with the Black Gravel, I noticed my female acting rather oddly, on closer inspectionI found a BUG on the floor after about 2 minutes of looking at this BUG I realized it was the babyb Dwarf that the mother was protecting.

I looked around in the same area I saw there were more "bugs" around 15 to be exact and she had brought them out to play...

This morning when I went to look at my babies they wer not there again so I looked around could not see them... AGAIN mother was acting odd and picking things up and moving them... She was cleaning back in to the cave and she starts bringing the FRY out to play and now feed as I had put food out for them....

THESE FISH ARE SO DAMN AMAZING I COULD HAVE STAYED THERE AND WATCHED ALL DAY...
