Hydra?

    Have strange stuff which I think could be hydra growing in my tank I setup in December. I only have plastic plants in there for now and the stuff is growing on these, mostly where light is the strongest.

    Here are some pictures of the stuff.

    Is it hydra? How do I get rid of it?

    @iamdieter: Looks like some sort of hair algae that died.
