I got myself some anubis today I haven't had chance to plant it yet so I'm floating it at the moment I just want to know how long can I let it float before I attach it to the drift wood. and wen I do attch it to the driftwood should I gentle push the fluffly roots into the groves and attach it with nylon or would a staple gun work better thanks

Hi snyper,if you intend to attach the plant this weekend ,you can leave it floating. It's a very hardy plant. Before you attach it ,you should cut the roots to about 2cm,this will allow you to tie it down easier, try and spread the roots over the driftwood, this way the new roots will drape over the wood as they grow downwards.Don't use the staple because you might damage the rhisome, just tie it down with some black thread. You could also use Super glue, but the wood and plant must be dried off first.Thats it,very simple.

    Just to add here.
Use cotton thread and not nylon based thread.
When the thread has degraded completely the Plant should be settled in nicely.
