Keep tank hygiene up and you shouldn't have troubles.

Ick should be "imported" in your tank.
Fish don't simply get it by temp-changes.

Doubledutch is correct. It's a protozoan you bring in with new fish that carry it. Yes you'll need a heater also.

I do agree with what has been said

I would like to mention though that since we put UV lights/sterilizers in our tans just over 3 years ago, we have not had ich on any fish including new additions and i dont add salt to my tanks unless there is a good reason to and that is not often

Since I've been adding aquarium salt it defiantly helps, reduces risks of diseases, even when I prepare water I don't use declorinator, only salt and it helps 100%,will keep to it,

No dechlore??? But why? You can be lucky guppies come from brackish waters with all the salt you're throwing at them. If you where struggling with diseases you should look as to why and where it came from, it doesn't just appear, there's always a reason.

For my 15L tank I sprinkle littke in the 25l a teaspoon and be 60l a teaspoon and maybe half, havernt lost a fish or disease in my tank..I don't like using medical treatment as it doesent always work, but u will need strong pond fish to add salt to your tank, don't add too much can kill them,

If you're using municipal water there is a need for that. They don't just add chlorine. Have you heard of chloramine.
