It may help people to know what is wrong with them in order to medicate correctly! Otherwise, do what my Dr. does... Give em some Panado and see how they are in the morning! Haha! Cheers! Big G!

Loaches are extremely sensitive to medications as they do not have any scales so be very careful when dosing a tank with loaches. If I remember correctly, dose quarter to half doses of medication when dosing scaleless fish.

But as Big G says, what are you medicating them for?

Just to add, Hillstream loaches require lots of oxygen in their tanks under normal circumstances. If you medicate the water, ensure that the water's oxygen content remains optimal, particularly by increasing the surface-water movement.

I have 2 clown loaches never had a problem but the hill streams are much smaller, one looks dark & the other much lighter & I'm worried I'm going to loose the one thats lighter. I know about the male & female senario but the one is really light almost like a eggshell colour. They are in a quaranteen tank! Should i start medicating? :(
