    Hi Guys

My tank is 9 weeks old. Fully cycled. Since the 4th week I have had this problem of brown algae growing over everything, including my anubias. I do weekly 15% water changes, and manually remove brown algae with a sponge but it KEEPS GROWING BACK in a day or 2. Tried shortening my light hours, but no difference. What else can i do? Im hoping something chemical?

Spray a little 30 vol hydrogen peroxide on the leaves (at your own risk could cause melting of some plants). Try manually rub it off and add some polyfilter to your filtration. It's a blue dense foam used for polishing water, also known as diatome filtration.

Give it some time, very common in new tanks, once the tank matures they will disappear

    Agree on the Otocinclus.
They are also the only fish that are 100% shrimp safe.

SAE are good algae eaters while they are young, even eating BBA and GSA off leaves, but once they reach adulthood, they become finicky, and often refuse to eat algae.
CAE should be avoided like the plague. They are bullies, and become carnivorous.
