How much should i feed my fish?

Hey. How do i know how much i should feed my fish. for example my one tank has about 50 guppies . all young ones but at different stages. i have to vacuum the gravel every day coz they "poop" so much. I sure im going to be told im over feeding them. so what i want to know is how do i figure out how much to feed them. . A poop eating fish would have been nice but there is no such thing to my knowledge.

 

I feed mine as little as possible
Like a pinch of salt

The General rule of thumb is nothing more they cant eat in 5 minutes
With guppies, as they are small fish, if you have flakes crush it a litlle finer, as I find the bigger flakes float to the bottom. OK if you have bottom feeders, not ok it if it rots.

As for a fish that eats poop

What does it do when it needs to go? and.......................................................

Feeding less is better. Remember in the wild the fish can sometimes go days without finding food... So don't stress too much if you feel you underfeeding them. And it's also a good idea to skip a day every few days.
