How many gallons

hi guys,

all the overseas websites work in gallons, drives me crazy. can someone please tell me how many gallons is a 300L tank?

im trying to log onto my conversion site system a bit slow.my 340l works out to 79 gallons i cant remember if its US or UK

 

Now let me see where is my diary.
1 US gallon is equal to 3.785 litres, therefore your 300l tank will be 79 gallons.

 

i have no idea which one is the appropriate one, that is also why i'm asking here. its very confusing lol

 

Are you planning on getting a 300l tank for yourself?? The tank size will be roughly 120x55x45mm.

i got one already its about that dimensions but a bit taller, more like 120X600X45 the guy i bought it from said it was a custom built tank 318L or something like that. but i never know what gallons is the right one to use on the online conversion sites..

It is usually US gallons. 3.78L = 1 Gal

so that means 300 / 3.78 = 79 gallons then!

It all depends on where the tank comes from mate. If it's a US or chinese tank, they usually work in US gallons. If it's a tank from europe, then they work in UK gallons.

 

Yip in the Uk you will have a bigger tank then in the Us even though it is the same tank

 

It doesn’t matter where the tank comes from, in a country where you use the metric system, the only justifiable reason you would ever want to convert to gallon is when using an additive such as water conditioner, fertilizer or medication that has directions in gallon only. Most products will have litres in brackets next to the more widely used US gallon. Even in the UK where we use imperial gallons, most products show litres in brackets.
