    Hi my fellow fish keepers.

I want to know if I go buy 1 plant at my lfs today at around 13h00, will it be fine till tonight at about 18h30.

The lfs do put some water in the plastic bag and also oxygen.

    Please advice.

    Thanks.

Should be ok, just don't leave them in the car - they will melt from the heat.

Will be perfectly fine, I have received and posted a couple of plants overnight via the post office and they were still fine.

Plants will do just fine in a bag as long as they are kept moist. All you do is just flip the bag a bit from time to time to get some of that water on to the leaves. If you are really concerned then just put in to a small dish of water in the office know problems! Remember, many of these plants are cultivated with only their roots in water and provided a moist environment. If you are going to plant this when you get home, remember to remove the wool around the plant.

It is recommended to remove it as pieces of it will come loose and be floating in the tank water, if fish "inhale" it it will go over their gills causing damage to the fish's gills. Rather be safe than sorry at the end of the day.

Remove the filter wool and replace it with your substrate. Then you can still keep them in the little plastic pots for ease of moving around. It will limit their growth eventually.

When we import plants from Asia they arrive "dry" in wet news paper and would have been packed in boxes for around 3 or 4 days. So an afternoon in a bag is no issue.
