Honey gourami

Hi all
I have bought 2 honey gouramis. A male & Female. I put them in a 46 cm tank. Later I put a couple of white clouds in the tank. All went well. One day i took the gouramis out to reed tehm but when i come back the male was dead. So now its just the female and the whtie clouds. Could I bought an male again? Or would he and the female fight? I wil be soon moving them to a 60 cm tank. Thanks

 

You could definitely get another female for your male. There shouldn't be any issues there. Maybe get 2 females rather than just one.

 

Shawn Agrees with Sean...lol - although rather peacefull for a gourami,there is a bit of hargy bargy,so an extra female will help... + thanks for reminding me of this gorgeous little fish...now I want some too.... they will be much more peacefull than the Spike Tailed Paradise fish I was planning...

First i was looking for dwarf gouramis. But they where 30 rand each! Then I saw the honeys for 11 rand.
I hope there are honeys in the petshop for I have see them only once or twice in a petshop
