    Hi there
I'm hoping someone can help, I have two 60 litre tanks connected with a water bridge, there are 6 danios(leapord and zebra cross), 2 peppered Cory's, 6 neons, 4 cloud minnows, 4 small baby female guppies and a common pleco. They all choose to stay together in the 1 60l even tho they can swim back and forth. I was just curious, is there a simple explanation why this is the case?

Oh wow, I knew it was something obvious I was missing. I wonder what is making them feel threatened, usually all the danios stuck together, now they are split, maybe too many males?

    Welcome to the forum

Perhaps they feel safer on one side.
Is the decor/planting on both sides the same ?

Yup everything is pretty much the same, I took out the 2 side mounted filters(one tank had a bigger one, the other a smaller one) I had in each tank and added a canister filter where the outlet is in one tank and the inlet is in the other, with the water bridge connecting the 2 tanks. The danios have all moved back to one tank and the minnows and tetras on the other side. I think there was too much flow, specially in the tank with the bigger filter which was the emptier tank.

Thanks so much for everyone's help, this issue is sorted from my side
