I have been looking for people to share my passion with.
I have had 12 tanks and started at the age of 13 trying to breed fish, and seeking out unusual fish.

At current I only have 5 tanks, since my wife bought me a new one yesterday, yippee. 4 of witch are running. I have a community tank, 2 Jack Demsys, 5 Fire Mouths, and 1 male siames fighter.

    cant wait to get involved!!!

    Welcome welcome welcome :)

ummm....how about taking them with a camera??? (sorry couldn't resist :) ) Seriously though, you want to try and avoid using flash if possible, unless you take from an angle. Use a fast shutter speed.

I know some people who put an extra piece of glass behind the fish i.e the fish is between the front of the tank and another piece of glass and snap the shot that way....but using a fast shutter speed should be okay, we really aren't expecting professional photos :) Where are you based??? - oops, nevermind, just saw...Kempton Park...

:blink1: Glad to see you have a sense of humour :)

Yip, nothing worse than dirty glass ruining a potentially good photo. What camera do you use?

Then you may not be able to set your shutter speed, although depending on which mik 'n druk, you could manually set it. Try first on the 'automatic' setting and see how it works, if need be, look under your menu settings and see whether you can set shutter speed or alternatively set your apperture to a lower number.

Wingman Get a bright light above the tank looking down into it, then take your shot at an angle to the glass - not head-on
