I have been off breeding for sometime, I had just to fine to myself after the passing away of my dad. I just sold all my tanks and fish and the person I had sold it to ran away with everything without paying me. He operates around in the Western Cape his name is Marlin.

I have just re-started again bought my self a pair bettas, just before the Christmas weekend. They have just spawned and the fry is about 16 days old. But my male had died just the day the eggs started to hatch. This spawn should have not taken place as I first wanted to do more research via the forums, but okay now I will practice from this batch.

How to condition your pair for breeding?
    How to prepare your tanks?
    How to feed your fry?
    How to prepare water conditions?
    How to look for illness?
    How to rear your fry?

I bought another male and my word just introduce this female and now their is a second batch of fry. I was under impression this male was immature, but I was mistaken he did everything perfect from spawning until eggs hatched. He just lacked building a nest but when the eggs started hatch he became a bubbler.

I will be conditioning this pair and only breed again later.

    Both spawns were small.
First - 50 fry or more
Second - 16 fry but ate many eggs

He was doing it to many other fish breeders around Cape Town. They usually say a dog get is day but a hog gets a weekend.

No more shellies had thousands, my brichardi loads of them. My dubiosis they started spawning on one and when they were sold all my females were holding. When I bagged each female the bags were filled with fry. My ikolas also started to spawn.
