Hi guys and girls,I have decided to start up a planted tropical tank again after many years not owning a tropical tank.I have a full on reef salt water aquarium and I use to keep tropical fish before. So I started a 600x600x600mm cube planted tank again. Here are some pictures of my two month old tank
Hi @Jinx and welcome! Looks great and a very nice size, just over 200L? What would you like to stock it with?
Thank you, yes just over 200L and I am running a sump filter.....lol took this from my saltwater experience.I have neon tetras and guppies in so far.I am thinking to add dwarf gouramis in but not to sure about them in a planted tank
Cool Dwarf gouramis are fine with plants, I haven’t had issues. I also think pearl gouramis are absolutely spectacular in a planted tank, peaceful and can be kept singly or as a male and 2 or more females
Welcome to TASA. That tank looks good. Dwarf Honey Gourami will do well in that tank. They are peaceful, and school well when 5-6 are kept together.
That is some lekker growth ... how are your scissor skills? Cause that look like you are going to have wet hands every weekend ;-) Later Ferdie
Very nice setup! I can attest to both @Pezulu and @A new day with their suggestions. I have Pearl Gouramis and they are beautiful and peaceful. Availability not an issue. The Dwarf Honeys I would love to keep, a friend of mine bred them accidently. Awesome fish!
Those skills will come quick quick. Did you grow plants before when you kept freshwater tanks? Looks like it
