    Hi Everyone.

Glad to be a part of TASA. Please if anyone has or knows where I can get more Dwarf Cichlids from, it would be greatly appreciated. Have a pair Agassizii tefe blue, kribensis normal and albino, and some steel blue Apistos breeding and looking for alot more variety.

    Thanks :)

    Welcome to the forum bud.

Where about in Durban are you bro? I might be able to hook you up with a large breeding pair of Orange Flash (Cacatuoides). Maybe a swop for a pair that you might have?

    PM me.

Contact @Altum (Sponsor) on this site. He has some lovely Agassizii 'Dutch Gold'. They really are quite stunning.

Otherwise Prof Dirk has some Agassizii 'Red Gold'.

I'm afraid that otherwise, the choice is very limited. Unless one of the Sponsors are able to import some different species to whats already here, its likely to be the same few species available, if you can find them?

Unfortunately, the only types that I am aware of in SA (not including colour forms) are.....

    Cacatuoides
Agassizii (lots of colour forms available)
    Macmasteri
    Trifasciata
Ap. Sp. 'Mamore' (often wrongly identified as Ap. Trifasciata 'Maciliensis', which does not actually exist)
    Ap. Sp. 'Steel Blue'
Ap. Sp. 'Tefe' - aka - Ap. Cf. Agassizii 'Tefe' (Blue variant seems to be the only Tefe variant available at the moment)
Bitaeniata (very few if any breeding pairs at all?)
Panduro (formerly known as Pandorini, and again not many if any breeding pairs)
And if you are very lucky, you may find some Dicrosus Filamentosus?

There seems to have been lots of other species that people have kept in the past, but they seem to have disappeared from trace.

Of course there are probably lots of people keeping other types, but the above are the ones I know about.

    Regards
    G!
