Thank you! Well I'm so new that I dont really know how to describe my tank. Its biiiiig and is hexigon shaped (is that bad not to know? hahahah) I'll officially be fish shopping tommorrow. Any suggestions? I'm looking for freshwater tropical - but interesting fish. The pet shops i've visited around here all have guppies and neons. looking for something a little more interesting.

    Okay!

Firstly, tell us how many days, weeks or months you had this tank and tell us how long ago you filled it with water and had the filter running....

Have you ever owned fish before? Do you own water testers?Do you own a heater

How many liters is your tank? This is the only way to know what fish we can recommend that you buy.

ideally, you want the tank to be running as if there where fish in it for about 4 weeks. This process is called cycling - the chemical process of eliminating ammonia and building a good bacterial supply on the filter media.

Please describe your filter as pictured below:

Do you have gravel or plants? What's in your tank at the moment?
