Glad I found a SA based website, just found it by accident yesterday. I'm in the hobby about a year now. Got a 250L Malawi setup. Can't believe how much I fell in love with this hobby. Enjoy your fishes all, sure we'll talk alot in the future...

Thanks guys. Will put up some pics asap.
Just a quick question. I really struggle to keep the nitrates under 50ppm. The amonia and nitrites both 0. I do 50% water change once a week. Thinking about doing it twice a week now. Is there something else i can do? :wondering:

I guesse this being a malawi tank there is no plants? You have a nitrate reading from your tap water?

    Thanx for the welcome guys
You're right Vis just some fake plants but you've got a good point, hav'nt tested the tap water, will do that tonight.

Hi KM. Looks like we're almost neighbors. Okay - got a cannister filter 700L/H. 16 Malawies, but 10 of them i bought as juvies in January and 2 plecos about 150mm long. I got a Sera NO3 testkit and usualy test the water just before a water change.
