I'm from the Cape. My dad had a huge tropical tank so I pretty much know who is who in the zoo (tank). I recently purchased a smallish tank and made all the mistakes my dad did with the types of fish I bought. Nobody has eaten anybody yet but the catfish (2) are getting huge blah blah blah. Want to buy a second tank (bigger) but want the same type I have now with the rounded glass front and pretty much self contained. OK so here is the dumb question-I saw a tank at the fish shop but was told it was a marine tank and was not suitable for tropical fish. Doesn't sound logical. Any ideas? ps. any affordable tank places in and around the western seaboard.

Most marine tanks can be converted relativily easily to tropical. Sounds a bit odd.
