Welcome SAMollyBreeder .. really a breeder of mollies - are they not like guppies? Just add water stir and wait for the fry, repeat till tank full ?

Got any PICS? Tanks, fish etc ... please post.

LOL @tracyp Indeed ... my poison is guppies ... they are the main reason for the my MTS, I add a few to kick-start a new tank and by the time I want to do something with it the tank is full of guppies ;-)

SAMollyBreeder - really do need to see "the proof of life", post those pics.

Thank you all for the awesome welcome!

It is lovely to meet you all!

Yes, I am a Rookie Sailfin Molly Breeder and this was my first bunch of fry from my beautiful little Molly! She popped out approximately 54 fry yesterday morning! It is quite easy to breed them, except you have to be ready for some cannibalism(even in the breeder tank)! I have a love for Swordtails, Platys and especially Mollies!

Here are some photos of (in order): The female Molly, The female Molly in the breeder tank(I think she actually liked it in there!) and the Fry in the Baby Saver net!

I remember when I used to breed mollies . . .they take ages to grow to selling size though so I just gave them away . .

How long does it take for them to grow to selling size and how much do they generally sell for?

Used to breed Sailfins on a pretty large scale as a kid,me and my fishy mates ahd a R100 buck bet on who could get a male to 10cm first... a bet I won after a few years of selective breeding...Dang,wish I still had that strain..:(
