Its always good to keep an eye on your water level while topping up the bottle :)

This is my water maturing bottle, its a 60lt bottle made from 1.8mm thick plastic. I got it from a cosmetics factory in Epping, they use them for storing RO water. This bottle holds a full 60lt of water with an airstone in it for a week before going into the tanks.

@dragon8 sorry man, apparently they cant get these drums anymore, I've had this one sitting in the garage for a bout 4yrs, I used to use it to collect RO water from Aqua H20.

You can pick these type of things up at a plastic warehouse type shop. Reasonably priced too. (Just not the thick plastic like this one)

what works a charm are those plastic kitchen dustbin's. Some are upto 80 liters in size. And buy them from Builders for less than R200.

I paid R100 for a 70L bin.. It has these cool handles that lock the lid down. I drilled 1 hole into the lid so the chlorine can evaporate. I. Do all my top ups and water changes from that.

I bought it from checkers hyper ...

Another cool thing is that when I leave it in the sun..the water temperature rises so I can do water changes at 26 degrees!
