Help with rust like algae

    Please help. What can i do to eradicate this ugly stuff. I do weekly water changes with dechlorinator. Bio filter. Even scrubbed everything with a toothbrush and warm water. I need help urgently. I have a placo , SAE, 3 neons, 6 widows , 4 dianos and 2 angels in a 3 foot tank. [​IMG][​IMG][​IMG]

    Looks like algea in an new tank. How old is this setup?

    This browninsh algae is common in new tanks and will go away on its own.

    I just add an Apple Snail to my new tanks. He normally cleans all this in a jiffy.

    The tank is about 4 months old. But this looks dirty and UGLY!

    Yes, diatome algae. New tanks normally gets it and it goes away quickly. If not fast enough to your liking just get a snail.

    Thanks for the advice. Heading to my LFS as soon as the boss moves his head in the other direction...;)
