My blue male betta got tears in its fins!
When I saw it I did a good water change ect.
    The betta don`t look sick.
He only at me for food.
    Should I be worried?
    Will the fins heal?

your biggest problem will be fungus.
As the torn fins could possibly become furry in the next day or two.
Try keep the tank as clean as possible.
What I found was that filtering over peat helps.
    or
Indian almond leaves if you can get your hands on some.

If you have good water and the food is good it will heal in no time at all.

Rooivlerkie, what caused it in the first place? Is he or was he in a community tank?

    No.
He is in a 46 cm tank with 5 gold fish(size:2-5 cm)
I have him seperated, because he is very nippy on the gold fish.
He acts normal.Swimming around with no prob.
The goldfish fins look allright to me.
I don`t have any sharp ornaments in the tank.
    Only a few plastic plants.
    Hope this helps.

this could be the cause of the damaged fins
