He is in a 60 cm communaty tank with

    other swords
    4 kuhli loaches

It’s not easy to try and confirm without a pic, but I had sort of the same problem with a Endler Female.

She had a patch of scale missing on her belly, and it was also white, three weeks down the like, she is 100% again. It started after I introduced a female Ram to the tank, and the two males started to fight for her, taking it so far to even chase all my other fish? So this could be the same?

Think you may lay the blame at the front door of one of the Bettas playing nom, nom, nom(or maybe an overzealous suitor)... dont worry too much - if your waterquality is fine and infection does not set in - the sword should be fine...

I had this with my swords at one stage - mine accidentally scratched themselves on sharp decor when frightened and dart away. It happened on the belly due to rough gravel.

I `ll try and get a pic but the sword is very fast.

I don`t think its a betta nipping on the sword. I do not see them bother the fish.

    thanks

I will do water changes. i hope the sword gets better soon

    Both swords look better.
They still have these white things on them but they are active.
I will keep them in the hospital tank till the disease are gone.

Hey I had a sword female that had a white patch on her. Treated with Tetra General Tonic over a period of 3-4weeks. She had the patch for about 2 months.

Was also active etc... and looked normal.

1 morning she passed on... (Not sure what the actual cause was, I taught it was a bacterial infection according to my research) - Just a heads up!
