    Hi Clyde,

Unless you use some chemical with possible negative consequences, the snail trap will be your only alternative....

    Kind regards,

    Dirk

Pro: Will kill the snails and any other invert

Cons: Copper will be in the tank indefinitely.
    Will harm BB
Will kill sensitive fish, i.e. loaches

if your tank is bigger enough just by some clown loaches...then dont feed for a week or so. your clowns will make a meal out of them very quickly. besides its healthy for the aquarium to have some snails in them. also if you dont address the actual problem you will continue to have snails no matter what. points to remember regarding snails:

they enter your tank through plants. quarantine plants for 2 days in a bucket of water with some gravel in it. any snail living on the plants will move down into the gravel.

over feeding will produce a snail population explosion (which is where your problem lies)

Alternatively, you could place a piece of cucumber or lettuce in your tank. The snails will come out and sit on the veggies to feast on it, then you can just take the veggies out with the snails

Clown loaches are, IMO, the best in getting rid of unwanted snails. Chuck in 3 or 4 loaches in the tank and your snails will be gone soon
