I am purchasing a 3m tank and would like to know if anyone could help me move the tank from Nigel to Benoni. I'd have to move it on something like an h100 to move it. I would like to move it on Sunday. I would pay for all the coats just need some help and a big Bakkie

And a small forklift :) only reason I don't have a tank that big is because I don't know how to get it home. Best of luck.

You better make sure you have about 8 people to help you, a tank that size will probably weigh between 300 and 400kg. I moved a 2m tank during the holidays, it weighed in excess of 250kg and took 6 of us to move.

Good luck with the move, tanks of 3m are really spectacular!

The carrying distance is very short, I know it's going to be crazy heavy, I had a 2.1m tank which was close to 1 m high and man that thing was heavy.

A professional moving company might be your best bet.

Was thinking that filling the tank with helium might he,p with the move, but at 1 litre of helium only giving you 1 gram of lift force .. you will need a bigger tank.

I am moving my tank at 300Kg this weekend. I actually got a furniture removal company to move my only 1,85m tank.

There are professionals who can move large tanks for you. But of course they have costs to cover and have to charge.

I used one when I moved house in December 2013. Not only did they strip down my 1.8m tank and give it a good clean, they also took 3/4's of the water to the new house so as not to stress the fish out too much. I had so much other stuff to take care of it was a joy to to hand this over to someone.

Alternatively one can hire a large trailer and recruit 6 day laborers to assist you. If there are no stairs it shouldn't be too bad.
