Help! I think my betta has got pop eye!!

    I have this female betta and i think she has pop eye! What can i do? Here is a pic.
    She was in a 60 cm communaty tank with:
    other bettas
    guppies
    swordtails
    platies
    kuhli loaches

    now she is in a hospital tank. What can i do to save her.

    A bag of rooibos tea may help

    How long should i put the bag of rooibos in the tank.

    Until the tank is brown and the fish looks better. It releases tannins that helps the fish's immune system.

    could the rooibos bag work for dropsy too?

    Possibly, but dropsy is a hard one.

    Ok the female betta look much better I can`t see that her eye is swollen.

    Here his a picture of her. Thats the eye that WAS swollen

    Nice to see people throwing my idea around ever since I introduced this method to this forum! :)


    @Rooivlerkie - It shouldn't take more than 3 days for you to see visible results so the fish should not be in the Rooibos bath for more than a week. It is unnecessary to leave the fish in there if the problem seems to have stopped. I say this only because your betta is part of a community tank which she is comfortable with and not a small betta tank. She might be uncomfortable in there.
