    Hey folks!

Long time no speak! I've been pretty busy, so have not graced these parts for a while!

I need help! I was cleaning out my tank today and had an issue with black beard algea on one of my Mopani wood pieces, so I decided to remove the wood from the tank to clean! Anyhow, it was a big heavy piece which snagged on my lighting cable, and as I was trying to free it from that, the wood slipped and spun, landing on the tanks support brace! I heard an almighty crack!

I looked over the top of the tank and I noticed the huge crack right thru the support! Infact, its not just one crack, but 4 or 5! The cracks have penetrated the full width of the brace! Thankfully, the tank is only half full at the moment!

The worst thing is that the Tank is a 315L corner tank! The front is very rounded! So as a result of course, the very cracked support is also rounded to follow the bend of the front glass!

Can this kind of support brace be replaced? Would it be expensive?

Or am I looking at a new tank, or an insurance claim to buy a new one?

Any help would be appreciated!?! And if anyone has a spare tank or two I can borrow to put my fishees into whilst it is sorted out I'd really appreciate that!

    Cheers
    BIg G!

    Hey guys!

Thanks for the regards! I'll be looking into cutting a template in teh next day or so, but will have to look for alternative accomadation for the fishees in the mean time while I have it repaired!

Really quite frustrated at the mo! Seems like everything I touch breaks or goes bad!

Anyhow, we'll see how things turn out??

    Cheers

    Hi Altum,

    Thanks for the invite!

I'm hoping to house them a little closer to home, as in my home, but we'll see what happens?

I'll keep you all updated, as and when I make any progress!

    Cheers!
    G!
