    Your needle valve?

    What regulator?

    Pics might be best.

If its an adjustable dual gauge regulator (I'm talking about regulator, not the needle valve) theres a chance you got it set too high. Get some close up pics of the system.

@oscar freak, Maybe phone Juan and see if he can maybe help you out... I know that he has a co2 system set up to run in a display tank and maybe you can go and have a look and see how to set it up.

    Just my 2c worth...

Thanx guys I fiddled a bit there's lots of left and right twisting to be done with the fine tuning but I got it to an acceptable bubble stream don't know how people get it to exact bps but anyway its a steady slow release so I'm happy.will takes pics later and post.the diffuser is a little glass bell thingie which wsnt working out for me so I hooked it up to the cannister filter the I miss seeing the bubbles coming out so now I worry is it working.

Then you should get yourself a bubble counter to add to the line. It's the only way you will know how much you putting in.

You don't need to replace the gauge. The gauge will only tell you the current pressure in the line. It will not give you a bubble per second rating. Get yourself a bubble counter. Also, have you got a check valve in your airline? To make sure that water doesn't drain from your tank?

The problem you had, is that it takes a minute or 2 for the pressure to build up enough in the airline, to force the Co2 through the diffuser. You will not see the diffuser start diffusing Co2 into the tank immediately. You need a bit of pressure for the Co2 to pass through the ceramics. That's why you cannot blow air though the diffuser if you had to try use your own lungs. You'd never build up the pressure needed.

With the bubble counter, you will immediately be able to see the amount of Co2 going through, even if there is none coming out of the diffuser yet.

If you need help, give me a call. You should still have my number.
