    Hello everyone

    I bought my first freshwater fish tank and had it installed on Tuesday. Waiting for the water to cycle and will be adding fish in two weeks time.

    I'm really excited and hope to learn a lot from this forum :)

    welcome :) ... i used tetra aqua safe and this other thing called quick cycle, has live bacteria in it or something but i was able to put fish in 2 days later :) and tank is running perfectly

    Not a good idea. Rather cycle for 14 days with the bacteria. Put in a few fish flakes too.

    Welcome B2048 .. tell us more about your new tank. Size, what you want to keep in it etc. Maybe a picture or two. People forget to take regular pictures of a the setups ... if you do you will be amazed at how your tanks changes over time.
