    Not for me either.
Due to the shape, you can also probably only keep relatively small fish despite the larger volume.

Sometimes too much money can equal no brains. And fashion almost always equals no brains :p

Both of these tanks are a great example...

    From the site
"Small hoses within the stainless steel hanging tubes carry water back and forth from the filter, which can be separately set anywhere (500 foot reach)."

I do think that this would be great for small community fish (neons etc.)

They'd be ok for small fish to live in, but impractical much and within two days I'd be going squint and wishing I spent all that money on a fabulous normal tank

Noooo thanks. I moan enough when the bracing of a tank gets in the way of my siphoning... imagine the mood I'd be in trying to clean the gravel in that contraption!

These are made by a Canadian company called "Aquarium ASP."
I found this pic of one ready for installation:

    Also found this on Youtube

Apparently, They have been designed with minimum maintenance in mind????
they have a HUGE advanced filtration system which can be placed up to 15 feet away
and if anyone wants one, they only cost between 6000 and 8000 US Dollars excluding installation!
    Bloody frightening!

I've only ever seen them with salty stuff - never live plants, so it is more show than hobby I think - like having a garden and then getting a garden service or gardener to do all the work. Lets call it a live painting ;-)
