guppy tail torn

    Hi.

    I have noticed that one of my guppies tail is torn right from the tip to its body.

    Why does this happen?

    Probably got nipped by another fish but it will grow back

    Yep, that's exactly what happens. Their long tails prove interesting to other fish so they often get nipped, ripped and torn, but they do grow back together and close up. Just keep an eye on the fish, just in case there is a secondary infection, but I doubt it...
